About Veronica
Hi, I am Veronica! I am a certified special education teacher & educational therapist. I have over ten years of experience working with children and young adults with emotional and sensory regulation needs including those diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, Autism, and anxiety.
As a special education teacher I have served students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders as both a teacher and IEP case manager. I have also been trained multiple times in de escalation and crisis prevention programs including Crisis Prevention Intervention as well as Mindset, and I have safely used these techniques to respond to students in crisis. I have also participated in multiple trainings on restorative practices. In my role as a special education teacher, I conducted a number of functional behavior assessments, and worked alongside behavior specialists to support students' emotional and behavioral needs.
I have written, updated, and implemented multiple behavior intervention plans (BIPS), including the data collection process involved in assessing students progress related to behavior interventions. I have also co-facilitated multiple social skills classes alongside school psychologists.

I am also a 500 hour certified yoga instructor, and a certified kids yoga instructor for children with ADHD and Autism. Through my kids' yoga training, I was able to learn from occupational therapists to better understand how to support children's sensory processing needs.
I have also participated in various trauma informed trainings for both supporting students in the classroom as well as adults in a yoga setting.
